Where Childhood Creativity Meets Intentional Design

I grew up in a home that embraced creativity in its most joyful and uninhibited form — where glitter sparkled freely, materials were always within reach, and my mother encouraged us to see beauty in making, regardless of age or outcome. Creativity wasn’t treated as something to outgrow, but as something to carry with us.
That foundation led me to study Art and Design at university, with focused coursework in painting. Over time, my practice evolved beyond traditional painting into mixed media and curation — an exploration of how individual marks, textures, and moments can be brought together to tell a larger story.
Today, as a mother of two boys, I find myself immersed once again in the raw, expressive world of childhood creativity. I’m endlessly inspired by the freedom with which children create — the confidence of their marks, the instinctive use of color, and the way personality shows up on the page without hesitation.
Little ELM Studio was born from a desire to honor that creativity in a way that feels intentional and lasting. My work focuses on thoughtfully curating children’s original artwork into mixed-media collages that reflect not only what was created, but who was creating it. Each piece becomes a quiet portrait of personality — elevated, composed, and designed to live naturally within the home.
"This is not about preserving everything. At Little ELM Studio, childhood creativity is treated not as something temporary, but as a form of art worth living with."
