Frequently Asked Questions
Questions about our process and physical curation.
A broad mix of artwork works beautifully, including scribbles, paintings, and school projects. Each contributes its own texture and energy to the final piece. While our work is primarily two-dimensional, we can thoughtfully incorporate light three-dimensional elements when suitable.
Yes. Artwork from multiple children can be thoughtfully combined into a single collage, resulting in a layered composition that reflects both individual expression and a shared family narrative. For those who prefer to highlight each child independently, separate pieces offer a more focused expression. The right approach depends on scale, balance, and the feeling you’d like the finished work to bring to your space — something we’re happy to guide you through during the inquiry process.
Yes, in a measured and considered way. I introduce hand-painted papers and tonal elements to support the overall composition — creating visual continuity, depth, and balance. These additions are always secondary to the child’s original work, which remains the focal point. The finished piece reflects a quiet collaboration between a child’s instinctive creativity and my fine-art practice.
Collages are currently offered in a curated range of standard sizes, selected to suit a variety of residential spaces and ensure cohesive composition. Our available sizes range from 24 × 30 up to 48 × 72, created on cradled wood panels. Larger-scale works may be composed across two or three panels, forming a single, unified piece. As a general guideline, a minimum of approximately 40 original works is required, with larger sizes calling for a broader collection to allow for thoughtful curation and balance.
We use archival-quality materials including acid-free adhesives, UV-protective coatings, and sustainably sourced cradled wood panels to ensure your piece lasts for generations.
Our preferred approach is to work with original artwork to achieve the richest texture and depth. That said, we understand the sentimental value these pieces may hold and can work from high-quality reproductions if needed. All unused artwork is returned following completion.
From the time we receive your child’s artwork, most commissions are completed within 6–12 weeks. This allows for thoughtful curation, composition, and finishing. A 25% deposit is required to reserve your commission, with a more accurate timeline provided once the artwork has been received and the deposit confirmed.
